Obituary for Sylvester Abrams

Sylvester (Jit) Abrams, Sr., was born March 30, 1934 to the union of Ellis Abrams and Alberta Lewis in Malcolm, AL. He later moved to Theodore, AL, where he resided until he departed this life on May 1, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Sylvester Abrams, Jr; siblings: Perry Abrams, Evelyn Williams, Hattie Williams, and David Abrams.

He leaves to cherish his memories, six children: Vanessa Hart, Destin, FL; Lillie Powell, Alberta Abrams, Theodore, AL; Sharon (Willard) Fore, Mobile, AL; Rochelle Abrams, Theodore, Al, and Michael Abrams, Philadelphia, PA;12 grandchildren: Adrian Abrams, Omar Hart, Melissa Hart, Natasha Abrams,
Jeremy Watts, Johnathan Fore, Alexis Fore, Alicia Watts, Ashley Abrams, Taylor Abrams, Amanda Fore, and Elijah Abrams; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Minnie McQueen, Theodore, AL; two brothers; Cleveland Abrams, McIntosh, AL and Charleston Lewis of Glenwood, IL. A host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and
friends.

A Visitation will be held Friday, May 7, 2021 from 11am until 1pm at Gulf Coast Cremation and Funerals, 7000 Bellingrath Rd.

The “Homegoing Graveside Service" will be held on Friday, May 7, 2021 at 2pm in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Theodore, AL.
