Obituary for Susie Jones

Queen Susie Annah Jones (AKA Miss. Sue) was born on December 15, 1925 in Camden, AL to the late Julia Clemons and Collins Jones. She entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 19, 2020.

She was a faithful member of St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church of Mobile, AL where she served on the Usher board for numerous years.
Queen Susie Annah is preceded in death by two sisters: Julia Sylvester and Mary Wright; one daughter: Maggiedale Cobbs; one brother: Eugene Jones; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.


Queen Susie Annah is survived by her four sons: Collins (Fannie) Jones, James (Lolita) Jones, Donald (Halleen) Johnson and Marshall Jones, all of Mobile, AL; three daughters: Ethel Brock (James) of Duncanville, TX; Lucy Thompson, Melba (Curtis) Abner all of Mobile, AL; three sisters: Hannah Clemons, Hattie (James) Pettway of Mobile, AL and Eliza Gibson of Galveston, TX.; three brothers: Paul Clemons, Kyser Clemons, Jimmy (Geraldine) Clemons; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great, great-grandchildren.


A public viewing will be held on Friday, March 6, 2020 from 4pm to 6pm at Gulf Coast Cremation and Funerals (by Small’s) located at 7000 Bellingrath Road, Mobile, AL. and continue on Saturday, March 7, 2020 from 1pm until the 2pm “Homegoing Celebration” at Christ Temple Apostolic Church locate at 801 Virginia Street, Mobile, Alabama. Interment will follow in the Whispering Pines Cemetery.
