Obituary for Linda Green
Linda Green, a resident of Theodore, Alabama, departed this life in the early morning of Friday, November 8, 2019 at a local hospital.
Linda was born to Sadie Qunnie Harris and Samuel Carl on August 17, 1955.
She confessed Christ at an early age and joined the Mount Ararat Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Dr. B. J. Parker, where she served faithfully until her death. She will be missed as a member of the Mass Choir and the Adult Sunday School Class.
Linda was a 1973 Graduate of Theodore High School. She later married the love of her life, William Green and to this union two children were born.
She was employed with Theodore High School for several years and there she retired.
She was preceded in death by both parents and one brother, Clarence Harris, Jr.
Linda leaves to cherish her precious memories her husband: William Green, Jr.; two daughters: Lafonya Qunnie of Stone Mountain, Georgia and Bianca Green of Theodore, Alabama; two grandchildren: Keyshan Mosley, and Chenell Gomez of Stone Mountain Georgia; three sisters: Elois Jones of Mobile, AL, Arleen Carver of Irvington, AL, and Beverly Bell of Atlanta, GA.; two brothers: Calvin Harris of Fowl River, AL and Samuel Carl, Jr. of Irvington, AL; two nephews: Anthony Carver and Avery Carver; one niece: Cortney Abrams; three aunts: Mattie Dees, Bobbye (John) Shears of Theodore, AL., Ethel (Jesse) King of Warren Roberts GA.; four uncles: Joe (Peacola) Qunnie, Leory (Juanita) Qunnie, Robert (Dorothy) Qunnie of Detroit, Michigan, Willie (Hattie) of Robertsdale, AL.; five sisters-in law: Doris Thompson, Bertha Green of Theodore, AL., Mary ( Luke) Brown of Forth Worth, Texas, Susie Corley of Moss Point Ms., Margert (Tony) Britcher of Coper, TX.; two brothers-in-laws: Robert (Carrie) Green of Irvington AL, Rayford Green of Theodore, AL; a host of other relatives and friends.
Her remains will lie in state on Friday, November 15, 2019 from 3pm until 6pm at Gulf Cost Cremation and Funerals.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2019 from 9am until the 11am funeral hour at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church, 5201 Hamilton Blvd., Theodore, AL 36582.
Interment will follow in Lawn Haven Cemetery, Theodore, AL.
