Obituary for Julius Patterson Sr.

Julius Lee Patterson, Sr., was a long-time resident of Theodore, Alabama. He was an employee of Flowerwood Nursery for 32 years and later retired. He was born to Foster and Amelia Patterson, who are
deceased.

He leaves to mourn: his devoted wife of 56 years, Arelia Patterson; one brother, Matthew (Maldothia) Malone
of Mobile, Alabama; six sisters, Nettie Reed of Dawes, Alabama, Lelia (Eddie) Cranford of New Jersey,
Barthalia Tarver of Mobile, Alabama, Anncie (Robert) Brown of New Jersey, Maybelle (Robert) Wilcox of
Mobile, Alabama, and Geraldine Colman of Mobile, Alabama; two sons, Julius (Charolotte) Patterson, Jr.,
of Mobile, Alabama, and Ellis Maurice Patterson of Theodore, Alabama; one daughter, Angela Dickinson;
ten grandchildren, Lavaris Terrell Brown, LaMonica Patterson, Sarena Dickinson, Maurice Curry, Ellis
Patterson, Deā€™Marcus Patterson, Kimyatta Dickinson, Freddreka Black, Jasmine Pruitt and Courtney Pruitt;
fourteen great-grandchildren; six brothers-in-law, William (Dorothy) Clemons, Lewis Clemons, David
(Rena) Clemons, James (Shirley) Clemons, Lawrence (Barbara) Clemons and Delbert Peters; four sisters-in-
law, Claritta (Clifton) King, Betty (Soloman) Nelson, Deloris Wilson and Oretta Clemons; one devoted
nephew, Bernard Reed; one devoted niece, Cheryl Powell; one goddaughter, Angela Timmes; and a host
of nieces, nephews, and friends.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2019 from 10am until the 12pm funeral hour at Mt. Ararat Missionary Baptist Church, 5201 Washington BLVD., Theodore, Alabama 36582.

Interment will follow in the Lawn Haven Cemetery.
