Obituary for Jessie Sullivan

Jessie Sullivan, a native of Theodore Alabama, was born to the union of the late J. C. Sullivan and Mary Conner Sullivan, on January 16, 1959. Jessie departed this life on November 13, 2021.

He confessed Christ at an early age and joined the Mount Ararat Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. B. J. Parker. He later moved to Detroit, Michigan for a number of years, relocated back to Mobile and joined the Midway Missionary Baptist church under the leadership of Minister Terrence Burrell. He then later decided to return to his home church, Mount Ararat Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Dr. Howard L. Nelson.

Jessie worked as a chef in his early years and later changed careers as a Security Guard with King Security Services. Jessie was a loving person, loved by many for his selfless acts of kindness and unconditional love for his fellowman.

He leaves to cherish his memory a devoted wife: Catherine James Sullivan; a devoted daughter: Jessica Latrice Sullivan; 2 grandchildren: Ivy Elyse Sullivan and Nyla Malyse Sullivan; 2 sisters: Vanessa (Donald Sr) Nelson, Brenda (Cedric) Jackson; 3 brothers: Roderick Sullivan, Thirus (Sandra) Sullivan, Derrell (Felecia
Bell) Sullivan; aunts: Eva Bell Davis, Rosie (Samuel) Nelson, Julia (Henry) Nelson, Mamie Sullivan, Emma J. (Lee) Anderson, Fannie Brown, Elizabeth (Charles) Williams, Geneva (William) Moore, Patricia (James) McCants; uncles: Cleveland Frison, George (Johnnie Mae) Sullivan, Willie James Conner, Charles (Linda)
Conner, Forrest (Denise) Conner; sisters-in-law: Quedell (Calvin) Houston, Valerie (Kevin) Williams, and Gloria James; brothers-in-law: Aundrey James, Uranus (Pamela) James, Melvin (Donzella) James, Jr., Alonzo James, Aaron (Willie Mae) James, and Newton (Vera) James; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other
relatives and friends, one special, Tracy Niles.

His remains will lie in state on Friday, November 19, 2021 beginning at 9am until 7pm. The Family Hour will be held from 6pm to 7pm at Gulf Coast Cremation and Funerals

The Graveside "Homegoing Celebration" Service will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021 begin at 12noon in Lawn Haven Cemetery in Theodore, Alabama.
