Obituary for Gary Henderson
Gary "Top" Henderson was a lifelong resident of Theodore, Alabama, born January 31, 1954 to the union of James "Baker" and Inez W. Henderson. He departed this life for eternity on Sunday, January 10, 2021.
Top was preceded in death by his father: James "Baker" Henderson; mother: Inez Henderson; and his oldest sister: Patricia Frazier Latimere Brown.
Top was a faithful and devoted member of the First United Methodist Church.
Top was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and cousin. He leaves to cherish his memories six children: Garrick Henderson, Garlanda Henderson, Letheria Henderson, Garrie Henderson, Garrell Henderson, and Jessica Henderson; seven honorary children (raised as his own): Dynita Nelson, Victoria Nelson, Tiffany Nelson, Sylvana Nelson, April Chaney, Katrina Chaney, and Mario Chaney; a host of grandchildren; two devoted brothers: Gilbert (Mary) Henderson of Mobile, AL and Gaylord (Cheryl) Henderson of Mobile, AL; two devoted sisters: Marquitta Ann Henderson of Theodore, AL and Kimberly (Rev. Levi, Sr.) Marrow of Montgomery, AL; one devoted aunt: Margaret Moore; one devoted uncle: Sidney Williams, Sr., both of Theodore, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The public viewing will be held Tuesday, January 19, 2021 from 11am until 12noon.
The “Celebration Of Life" Service followed by Interment will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, 2:00 p.m., Lawn Haven Cemetery, Theodore, Alabama.
