Obituary for Eva Skipper

Eva Pearl Andrews Skipper, Affectionally known as “Mommy Pearl”, was born in Conecuh County, Alabama on May 24, 1940 to Mary Lee Andrews and Irving Johnson. 
 
She proudly attended the Conecuh County School System. After graduation she decided to spread her wings and moved to New York. In 1963 she moved back to Alabama (Brewton) to help her mother take care of her ailing brother, Isaiah Andrews. For over 20 years Eva was the Laundry Department Supervisor at DW
McMillian Hospital, retiring due to health reasons. 

Eva Pearl was a kind, gentle, and soft spoken person, a friend to everyone she met. 
 
She was preceded in death by her mother: Mary Lee Andrews; father: Irving Johnson; brother: Isaiah Andrews 
 
She leaves to cherish her memories a loving and devoted family: son: Lonzy L. McCall (fiance’ Deborah H. Freeman); grandson: Kevin McCall (Samantha Johnson); both of Brewton, AL; four great-grandchildren: Charles, Ariel, Kentrell McCall of Purvis, Ms, and Jaxon Nelson of Brewton, AL; one sister: Rosaland Scott of Pensacola, FL; two brothers: Lamar Randell of Pensacola, FL,and Hillard Culliver of Atmore, AL; two sisters-in-law: Manzie Cobbs of Mobile, AL and Annie Lee Rudolph of Daphne, AL; a host of other family
members and friends. 

A public viewing will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021, from 11:30am until the 12noon Graveside “Celebration Of Life” Service, New Centennial Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, located at 7755
County Road 7, Repton, AL.
