Dollie Matthews, a native and resident of Theodore, AL, was born October 23, 1949 to Joseph Matthews and Corine Garner Matthews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother: Joe Matthews, Jr; sisters: Alberta Matthews, Mattie Evans, Hazel McWilliams, Susie Nelson, and Henritta Wesley.
Her precious life came to a close on Friday, January 31, 2020
She leaves to cherish her precious memories two children: Rita Matthews and Russell Matthews; three grandchildren: Telly Johnson, Jr., Kiara Williams, and Devin Cobb; seven nieces; two nephews; a host of other loving and caring family members and friends.
A public viewing will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2020 from 3pm to 5pm at Gulf Coast Cremation and Funerals (by Small’s) located at 7000 Bellingrath Road, Mobile, AL. and continue on Friday, February 7, 2020 from 10am until the 12noon Homegoing Celebration in Gulf Coast Cremation and Funerals “Chapel Of Remembrance”.
