Centeary Jackson Wallace Harden, born June 5, 1956, to the late Brother Graddy Jackson and Sister Lena C. Scott. She transitioned from her earthly house to her heavenly home on Monday, March 7, 2022.
Sister Harden grew up in the Theodore-Dawes community of Mobile County, Alabama, where she attended Dawes-Union Elementary School under the guidance of Ms. Martha L. Reese, and graduated from Theodore High School in 1974.
Affectionately known as “Ms. Cookie”, Sis. Harden was well known and never met a stranger. Her personality was full of joy which drew people to her. She was a talented seamstress, had a flare for fashion and loved shopping.
Sis. Harden was a member of El Bethel Primitive Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Jonathan L. Yates. She was a member of the Minister’s Wives and Deaconess’ Board and served in the Church School, Mission Department and Vacation Bible School.
Sis. Harden was an employee of the Mobile County Public School System and Independent Mary Kay Consultant, she retired from the City Of Mobile.
She was preceded in death by her son, Lawrence, Jr.
Sis. Harden memory will be cherished by her devoted sons: Willie (Beverly) Jackson and Roderick (Adreia) Broughton; brothers: Ellihue Timmes, Raymond Jackson, and Kefornia Jackson; sister: Voncile Jackson; grandchildren: Arinna, Necole, Dewayne, Jekia, Tradella, Roderick,II, Melvin and Dontavious. To cherish her memories also are two special friends: Bennie and Carolyn Dickenson; many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, El Bethel Primitive Baptist Church Family, and Providence Missionary Baptist Church Family
Her remains will lie in state on Friday, March 18, 2022, 11am until 4:30 pm at Gulf Coast Cremation and Funerals by Small’s, in the “Chapel Of Remembrance”, located at 7000 Bellingrath Road, Theodore, AL
A viewing will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022 from 11am until the 12noon funeral hour at El Bethel Primitive Baptist Church, 1200 Gayle Street, Mobile, Alabama.
Interment will follow in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens Cemetery located in Theodore, Alabama.
