Obituary for Carolyn Boone
Carolyn C. Boone, age 84 went home to be with the Lord on the 21st day of January 2023, after a courageous battle with the effect of Alzheimer’s and after effects of Covid-19. She was the loving wife to John A. Boone Sr. and a Great Step-Mother to Deborah C Killough, John A. Boone Jr. ( Kim), Joy Renae Horton (Warren) and James Gregory Boone (Renee). Carolyn was born on December 22nd, 1938 in Flomaton, Alabama and grew up surrounded by and influenced by her large family to be a loving and caring woman, always giving her time to others, she also incorporated that into her motherhood and working with others.
Carolyn worked 35 years at the united Steel Workers of America and 3 years as secretary to the Pastor of Knollwood Assembly of God Church. She was also a member of her local Alabama Business Women’s Association (ABWA) and served for one year as President.
She was preceded in death by her Parents: Julius W. Cohron Sr. and Mary M. Cohron, Brothers: Julius W. Cohron Jr. and William B. Cohron. Sisters: Doris C. Evans, Rebecca C. Lee, and Elizabeth C. Reid.
She was survived by her husband, 4 step-children, 11 step-grandchildren and 8 step-great grandchildren. She was also survived by her Brothers: Robert V. Cohron (Sharon) and her Sisters: Linda C. Beasley and Deborah C. Baker, and many other family members.
Carolyn will ll be greatly missed by her family and friends. Carolyn, we all know we can’t keep you here with us, but we all are so happy knowing that the Angels have finally got you back in heaven. Carolyn fly high and rest secured in the arms of our Savior. Thanks you for being the special mother and friend you’ve been to us all and being the beautiful woman you were. We all Love you, from all you Family and Friends.
