Obituary for Annie "Ann" Hayden

Ann Hayden Departed this life for Eternal life on Thursday, January 2, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents: Willie Watters and Gertrude Watters; and a brother: Tyrone Watters.

Ann was a 1974 Graduate of Theodore High School and continued her education at Alabama State University & Bishop State Community College. She retired on January 31, 2015 as an Administrative Assistant from The Mobile County Public School System after 35 years of service.

She joined Mt. Ararat Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. B.J. Parker, Sr. and continued her membership under Dr. Howard Nelson, Sr. until her health failed.

She leaves to cherish her memories a devoted husband: Gerald Hayden, Sr.; two loving sons: Arthur Leonard Gibbs, III and Gerald (Krystal) Hayden, Jr. of Mobile, AL.; six brothers: Lee Earnest (Peggy) Smith, Jesse (Anita) Watters, Lee Earl (Carrie) Watters,

Roosevelt (Harriet) Watters, David (Maxine) Watters, Eugene Watters, of Theodore, AL; six sisters: Willie Lee Watters of Houston, TX., Bertha Walker, Rosie (Roy) Hale of Minter, AL, Tina (John) Cousins of Mobile, AL, Beverly Watters, Carolyn Armstrong of Theodore, AL.; seven grandchildren: Victoria, Antonio , Daisha & Adrian Gibbs, La’Miya, Genessa & Gerald Hayden,III; two sisters-in-law: Dorothy Barren of Mobile, AL and Vanessa (Wayne) Holloway of Eight Mile, AL; one brother-in-law: Clayton West of Mobile, AL.; a host of special nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A public viewing will be held on Friday, January 10, 2020 from 4pm to 6pm at Gulf Coast Cremation and Funerals (by Small’s) located at 7000 Bellingrath Road, Mobile, AL and continue on Saturday, January 11, 2020 from 9am until the11am "Homegoing Celebration" at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church, 5201 Washington Blvd., Theodore, AL.

Interment will follow in Lawn Haven Cemetery.
